The Guilt Trip

I must be very honest. I am so tired of the favorite trick of religion to try and control people, the guilt trip. Constant effort to is put into communication that the wrathful zapping jealous God will withdraw his love, blessing and covenants if you, His perfect creation do not do as you are told. No organization is necessary or even desirable to have a wonderful spiritual loving relationship with GOD.

Any who use guilt or scare tactics such as "withdrawing the spirit", "blessings of the covenant are withheld" or being "cast into everlasting darkness" are accurately representing God. These are just beliefs grounded in fear and lack of that organization continuance beyond its current membership and mortal leaders.

"Sinners Welcome" on a huge billboard tells you to come and join in the fellowship. But if you take your tithes and go somewhere else or worship God in truth you are a sinner and are condemned.

All of Christianity and Islam use these tactics in their messages to the masses of followers. Yet all monotheistic religions embed their texts, speeches and communication with negative outcomes to those who begin to really have a real relationship with God.

It is taught that God is pure, unconditional love. We, as His Sons and Daughters, come into this world to experience joys. This world has it's variety of trials and tribulations that one must encounter. Sorrow teaches Joy, like salt is bitter compared to sugar. God loves us so much that He wants us to experience, then return and report.

He has never let his embrace go from our souls and hearts. It is us who has turned from Him. Any who would tell you different are pulling and fighting from the true love of God and they are trying to pull you with them into their own outer darkness.

I myself am dealing with these issues and incorrect messages. These threats are empty and without true merit. Any covenant I have made with God has been between He and I and none can render it asunder. It may be true that if you nullify your membership with a church you do not receive those blessing of that organization. In fact often its members will treat you differently because of your withdrawal.

You discontinue your affiliation with Catholicism you lose the blessing that come from being a Catholic. It is true for Mormonism, Lutheranism and the same continues with each religion. This is because these are organizations unto themselves and not from God. No matter what divine authorship or divine authority they claim.
Put simply God does not withdrawal His love or blessings to you, ever.

The Lost Generation - U@50 Challenge Second Place Winner

This video submitted by 20-year old Jonathan Reed of Georgia State University in Atlanta received second place.   The video is a palindrome poem. A palindrome reads the same backwards as forward. The message reads to the opposite when read backwards. The brilliant one minute and forty-four second video was received with a standing ovation. The contest was titled "u @ 50"  by  AARP. This video won second place. When they showed it, everyone in the room was awe-struck and broke into spontaneous applause.  So simple and yet so brilliant. Take a minute and watch it. The contest, launched in August 2007 on YouTube, gave people between the ages of 18 and 30 the chance to submit short videos on the subject of what they expect their lives to be like at age 50. The goal of the U@50 Challenge was to encourage intergenerational dialogue enabling young people to speak their minds and give AARP insight into their views. More than 50 videos were submitted from across the country and from t...

Seaside

Meet me in the waves so we can gently rock upon the sand and fall upon each other within the darkness of the deepest sea and give to the ocean her song of stillness Let us sway with her sea grass like a flag of beauty that she brings to battle For every mountain swallowed within her is but a grain of sand placed in an oyster shell Even the islands will be her gown upon our wedded bliss Her rains will come to the highlands and bear down fruit of many trees Though man will divert the rivers and dam the flows Oh the patience of the water will break down and erode every low place to deep canyons We will pool and calm the lake waters until it is clear like a crystal ball in our hands
